Local Government NSW is an independent organisation that provides advocacy, representation and support for member councils to deliver improved services and better outcomes for their local communities.
LGNSW identified the need for a local government careers platform that is more than just a jobs board – a place to connect with candidates, provide information about the varied work on offer and the benefits of a career within local government through insights and storytelling.
What We Did
Working with Local Government NSW, NeonLogic created the brand ‘Careers at Council’ and built a national careers website to showcase local government as an employer of choice and share the stories of local government employees who are achieving more.
NeonLogic continues to provide outbound marketing through SEO, paid and owned media and by managing the Careers at Council social media channels.
Developing a content strategy, NeonLogic have identified LinkedIn and Facebook as key channels to continue the conversation with skilled candidates. NeonLogic produces and shares monthly content to engage the target audience with videos and blogs.
With the creative, content and marketing being managed by NeonLogic, the site has become the No.2 visited site for council careers in just 18 months from launch. The Careers at Council LinkedIn page has also seen strong results recently achieving an average of 1,000 new followers every month, over 22,000 followers in just over 2 years.
